| User Help - The Keyword Search |
A keyword search is a text expression consisting of a single word, a phrase, or multiple words which is compared
to a set of records in the hope of generating a match. Keyword searches performed by this web site ignore non-alphanumeric characters
(#, !, ", @, ^, etc.) and are case insensitive (Public will match PUBLIC and public). All search results
may be narrowed by and ordered by a number of options selected from pull down lists located immediately below the keyword text box.
|
Narrow by .... By default all search results returned include all records. To narrow search results which also match a given keyword to a specific date or author,
simply select the appropriate option from the pull down lists before you click on the search button.
If no keyword is provided, and any number of narrow by
options are selected, all records matching the selected narrow by option(s) will be returned when you click on the search button. For example, selecting
"January" (without providing a keyword) would return all records from January of any year. If no keyword is provided, and no narrow by option is selected,
a complete list of all records will be returned when you click on the search button.
