Poor gator, didn‘t stand a chance.. All you have is a trophy of a skull. He must have fought for his life.. Not much integrity is this... Where is the rest of the dead body? Did you cook it?

As a University of Florida graduate, I have developed a kindred spirit with Gators. From a distance, of course. The story about Matthew Ericksen‘s tracking and killing of the gator reminds me of the man recently put to death over a two-hour period. I hope future gator-killers use their skills to make sure death is swift and painless rather than the long, drawn out and surely painful way the gator in the story met his end.

Am I the only one who feels bad for the alligator?
