About Us
The Daily Report, often referred to as the Fulton County Daily Report, is Fulton County's official legal organ and Georgia's leading source for legal news and information. The newspaper was established in 1890. Every day, lawyers and business people across metro Atlanta and throughout Georgia start their day with the Daily Report.
Lawyers depend on the Daily Report to keep them abreast of the latest developments in their practice areas, decisions from Georgia’s courts and the business of law. Only the Daily Report offers comprehensive coverage of Georgia legal affairs, making it an essential read for the state’s legal community. Yet the Daily Report offers more than just coverage of legal affairs. “Business Matters” provides daily coverage of business news, and “The Good Life”, a forthcoming lifestyles section, will focus on topics of particular interest to our decidedly upscale readers. We have evolved from a newspaper about lawyers to a newspaper for lawyers.
The Daily Report’s expert staff of editors and reporters is backed by the news reporting resources of ALM Inc., the nation’s largest publisher of legal newspapers and magazines. As a result, the Daily Report can bring readers news ranging from the local courts in metro Atlanta to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Several dozen special sections published throughout the year feature topics such as young lawyers on the rise, revenue and profit roundups of local firms, recruitment, billing rate surveys and special focuses on practice areas, as well as other topics of interest to our readers such as education and travel.
This site provides subscribers with all the news from our print edition along with several online exclusives and a searchable archive reaching back to January 2002. Susbscribers also may choose to receive free email alerts for the latest news, court calendars and court opinions.
It is this exhaustive and broad coverage of every aspect of the practice of law and of other topics of interest to our readers that has earned the Daily Report the distinction of being “a smart read for smart readers.”
