Michael R. Moebes had expected July 2003 to be an intense month. He expected to be a newly minted J.D. cramming for the Georgia bar exam. He did not expect to be dodging mortar attacks, but that's what he did in July, his Air National Guard unit having been activated for service in the war in Iraq. In this final installment of his e-mail diary, Moebes describes mortar fire, sleepless 90-plus degree nights, welcoming replacements, and going home at last.
