An attorney for a security alarm monitoring company told appeals court judges that basic contract law required them to toss a $9 million verdict for a customer who was raped by an attacker who'd broken into her home. Laurie Webb Daniel (above), for the alarm company, argued against the plaintiff's claim that the contract langauge wasn't prominent: "[It] says what it says."
