NY panel: Judges' special license plates OK

A New York state judicial ethics panel has concluded it's neither illegal nor unethical for judges to display license plates identifying their office, but whether use of the plates is appropriate or advisable is a matter still under study by the state's Commission on Judicial Conduct.
