A veteran of the first Gulf War, he enlisted for 12 years in the Air Force. In 1996, he earned a political science degree from The Citidel’s now-defunct daytime veterans’ program and went on to Catholic University for law school. The father of three leaves the office by 5 p.m., but logs 11 to 15 hours a week from home.
