An RSS feed is a special file format (XML) for delivering regularly changing web content
These feeds are beginning to change the way readers consume news. The feeds update on their own throughout the day and they allow Web browsers to aggregate articles from several different sources onto one personalized home page.
When you click on the orange RSS button on our Web site you will be presented with the option to subscribe to the feed and receive content on a regular basis automatically without having to visit our web site. If the option to subscribe does not present itself you may need to install specialized software.
In addition, to make it easier to add the Daily Report’s headlines to a My Yahoo! page, all you need to do is click on the My Yahoo! button and then follow the instructions to add the Daily Report’s feed to your account. You must be signed up with Yahoo! to have a personalized home page. If you prefer Google, click on the Google button and follow the instructions for that site.
Other sites that allow you to create personalized news pages may ask you for the URL, or Web site address, of the news feed you wish to add. For the Daily Report’s top headlines, the URL will be the one that appears at the top of the browser when you click on the orange RSS button.
